BRIDGETON — About two weeks remain to officially file a petition to enter the 2023 primary elections, but the candidate lineup for Cumberland County government seats appears settled. Voters not only will decide who fills three seats on the Board of Commissioners next year, but also who will be the next county sheriff and county surrogate. In 2023, Republicans enjoy a situation where they have nothing to lose in the November election. All open positions are held by Democrats, even if not all incumbents are running.
